I think i'm finally getting used to my new house, and so i started sketching in it the other night. I hate that its hard for me to adapt to change and be productive. .. . but just wait, I'm going to change as a man, then I'll be able to adapt to anything "on the fly" like a mobile assault vehicle.

I've had an uproductive moment. . .going through a move and all. Its really terrible. I have these sketches though. The two profiles of people i did in Jersey City a few weeks ago. The one of my cat Leto is from when I had to drop him off at the vet's overnight. . it was sad.

I was sketching this week and this made me laugh.
Today I took a train into Philadelphia and it was fun. Very inspiring. I couldn't stop smiling. I went to the punk rock flea market, full of young, current talent. The whole day was great. Hopefully I'm in the environment I need to be in to keep creatively fueled. I'm sure.. . i'm sure

So thats news... I just moved to New Jersey, and I'm working on getting a studio as to focus on my personal work, and start a children's book with my wife. We probably won't be here for too much longer... we'll probably live along the Delaware somewhere in PA, right next to NJ, between the big cities. I don't have any work to post, but i will soon, as i just had a new album cover commission, and I just got settled enough to have time to do some sketching.

I was hoping to be able to put up more work for a while, but i've been busy doing things i don't want to post. Good news, I showed some work in the Dada gallery in Winston Salem, NC, and people have contacted me interested in buying stuff. Here are some items I did a while ago that i wanted to post... one of them is a study I put in my recent show, and another was a t-shirt i designed, but never had the opportunity to show anyone.

Here is the initial idea I'm having for a painting. . .and i started to paint this, but it looks dank right now, so I'll post it when I feel better about it. Thats the thing about oils, waiting while it looks like a dump till you can make it look pretty.

I suppose this is the start of my web-log adventure. I hope to consistently post concerning the projects I undertake, and progress I make with personal work. I've been in graphic design for the past 6 years, have worked for studio artists, and the past 2 years have been freelancing (without a day job :D )! This is going to focus less on graphic design, and stuff I do for small businesses, and more on what I do in the way of drawing and painting. This must be really boring to read, so following is an album I recently worked on. Its for a band called "Slushie," and I just recently finished it in December. The main elements were drawn and painted in pen & ink, and watercolor, then some of the backgrounds and final touches were done digitally.
